NAMELESS
NAMELESS
My friend, I shall remain nameless
Not that I am ashamed of who I am
It’s just that you don’t need to know
And all those myths and lies can wait
It will not be me standing at the gate
I can see it all happening from below
And for many, their piety is a sham
You thought that you were blameless
I will be welcoming you at a later date
I promise that you’ll see many friends
Some might say they did not make it
But at least that place will not pretend
And you’ll accept it as fair in the end
Down there, there’s no need to fake it
As almost everybody finally descends
And it is after all, a permanent state
I realise I’ve been given many names
Most meaning I’m the great deceiver
Others used in some occult meetings
You may not know me when we meet
It is my long term victory, not defeat
Yet it’s not all about heartless beatings
Nor necessary to have been a believer
It will be getting used to all the flames
