Mythical Beast

Life is a mythical beast
lying,crying,rotting before my eyes
i smell its flesh
I taste the flavor of sin
born again in the womb of the beast
I travel
seeing,feeling
through its eyes
I witness the world
it frightens me
if it senses my fear it will devour me
so I wear the mask of Joshusa
laughter falls as tears and rain
I sleep and dream
of life and birth
watching the sunrise
making love to a dark haired girl
in a time when love and laughter were real
