Mystified

Sight unseen but I was still intrigued.
Mind over thinking, became fatigued.
Sultry voice, maybe I dreamed.
Someone special, prematurely gleamed.
Shared words were happily composed.
Common interests intriguingly disclosed.
Promised pictures never received,
Something to hide now perceived.
Forever a mystery, I should have guessed.
Chance to make history, now suppressed.

This is great, especially in the computer age, you never really know who is on the other end. Well done Cecilia.

oh, yes, now here is a new one. I know why I never clicked on it. somebody else recently wrote a poem by this same title I think, and I was thinking it was this one and that I'd already seen it! what a shame on this one you just wrote. is it based on truth? The guy missed out!! good night now. I am OUT of here.
