Mystified

Mystified

When God opened up your heart
and let me have a peek.
At the mirror to your soul
He new that I would seek.

More then physical attraction
there was something else inside.
The Lord already new of your beauty
but I was truly mystified.

You can't fall in love at first sight.
That is really just a myth.
There was this inner person
that I fell in love with.

If you fall in love with looks
it never seems to last.
Now I found a soul to love
and the die is cast.

God blessed us with a love
that gets better everyday.
The Lord has blessed us both
so now what do you say.

I want to include God into
everything that we have.
I don't want our love to become
something that we had.

We can take it to another level
as God helps open the door.
To your heart with the mirror
that tells me so much more.

It tells me of a soul
that I see way down inside.
And it's the beauty of that soul
that has me mystified.

Beautiful sentiments, Allan, in a well-crafted poem about holy relationship. You are a rare man among men to want to go deeper than just surface beauty with your beloved. Congratulations on being featured this week.
