Mylee's Death
Was Heaven deaf to Mylee's cry;
eight years old, about to die?
"Stop it, daddy" she said in vain
before the moment she was slain.
Her father need not go to hell,
for as long as he on earth do dwell
he shall nightly see her eyes
and shall daily hear her cries.
Mother Rachel, when she wept,
prepared a place forever kept
for innocents of every time
in every place and every clime.
