My Zentangle Tattoo

I drew my own zentangle
it had a flower and a star
There was an owl and a baby dragon
Wearing a red tam, driving a holiday car

I took it to the tattoo parlor
and they did not blink an eye
We will refer you to Wilford
He is our most exquisite tattoo guy

Wilford did not hesitate
He said, we may have to buy more ink
I realized he was joking,
but my face got rather pink

Are you sure you want the highway
and the sky and stars done too?
Yes, I replied, and add a gargoyle.
I want faeries too before you’re through

He had me go home and finalize the presentation
Before he began to decorate the whole of my back.
It took a week or longer, but I was filled with adulation.
For I knew this would completely fill my back.

My sister had been against it, and it put her over the edge
You need a tattoo too, I said when she tried to talk me from my ledge.
It was the best tattoo in the world, and reflected the best of me.
Zentangles are my go-to relaxation technique, as you can clearly see.
