My Withered Emotions
My withered emotions drop like petals
from earthy flowers of pewter metals.
That sink in mud from tears I've shed
into the clay so bloody red.
So hard they fall onto the ground.
My moans stifle their thunderous sound.
For sadness I have never felt
like sadness from this inner guilt.
A small black cloud of deep emotion
dumped on me rain to fill my ocean.
So empty, yet so deeply filled,
I'm shipwrecked where my tears have spilled.
