My Wish Today
If I had one wish to wish today,
I would wish simply for love and peace to lead our way.
Hatred cannot survive where love abounds,
No evil thoughts can live not so much as a sound.
Search only for good in life and not for bad,
The results you find will make you glad.
In your moments of doubt turn to the Lord,
He will show you the way and it won’t be hard.
Just a little bit of faith is all it takes,
He died for us for Heavens Sake!
The powers that be, Jesus is the one that holds that key.
He is there for you, He is there for me.
Someday my wish I know will come true,
It will be when Jesus returns for me and you.
All wicked shall perish that is the promised word,
And evil will never again reign is what I have heard.
If you haven’t been saved, don’t you think it’s time?
Following the Master is not a crime.
The choices are simple, wrong or right.
Heaven or hell, it’s like day or night.
When I leave this world and take my final breath,
I’ll be heading home to be with my Savior is why I don’t fear death.
