My Wings

My wings
By Michelle Morris
18/03/2023

When I came down to Earth
I had to leave my wings behind
I spent my whole life trying to find them
Until I realised I had them all the time

My physical form is mortal
But my angelic soul remains
It doesn't matter whether it's inside me
Or out in the wide, wide Universe

For I am truly immortal
I am an angelic soul from Heaven
I am made from stardust and starlight
And I shall shine eternally
