My Wild Encounter

There I was, squatting down at the foot of a stream, giving my camping utensils a clean, and replenishing my water, another necessity, just enjoying the day, worry free. While doing my chores, I felt a little stiff, so I took a break to stand up and stretch a bit. It was then that I realized not ten feet from me, was a very curious sub adult grizzly. "Jesus!" I exclaimed uncontrollably, as my legs began feeling very weak. That startled the young bear and it backed up a bit, and after a few moments decided to sit. It was just curious and wanted to see more, because it probably had never seen a human being before. So I fed its curiousity a little bit more, by gathering my belongings and completing my chores. "Good bye bear," I said leaving the scene calmly. The bear just looked back at me like I was part of the scenery. This was a moment when knowledge of animal behavior came in handy, otherwise it could have ended up quite tragically.
