My Wedding Day

We have been each others friend, For such a long time. Our feelings we tried to descend, But they were to sublime. Through all the years, You have been by my side. Wiped all the tears, I may have cried. You were always there, In my times of need. The feelings of despair, Would automatically recede. It’s told in a certain way, Passed down through time. You know the cliché, Of the wedding rhyme. Something old, Something new. The saying is told, With hopes to pursue. Something borrowed, Something blue. Our life will not be sorrowed, Because it’s a love that’s true. We will get our day, Like it was meant to be. Soon it will be underway, That’s a guarantee. As I walk down the aisle, On the biggest day of my life. Praying all the while, That I will make a good wife. Today our life together will begin, A future we will share. The love we once held within, We can now declare. As I vow to you and God above, To never grow apart. I give you all my love, From every ounce of my beating heart.
