My War

There is a war
And I am one fighting within
A bloodshed I hadn’t known to befall
Without the cause or the means

Blindly following what others do
I fought gallantly and was commendable
What I’m fighting for, its like I knew
For a life to be far from bearable

Everyone else but my cause
Everyone is happy as long I follow
Then like a grenade I toss
I’m no longer the hero

A deserter... an outcast
Shamed into believing what I believe
Never more to what I ask
I began to see of the battles to achieve

I have no reason to fight your war
When everyone do not know why they belong
Are you still fighting for?
As an outcast I rather begone
