My Walk

MY WALK
                    by BambiLynn '78?

As I walked into the forest
My mind came to rest
Away from the dirty city air
And the life I lived there

I'd really like to stay away
To live my day, my way
I'd love to just keep walking
Yet I know I'm only talking

I know that it could never be
A life so totally carefree
But before I go back and have to cope
I surrender to this hope

As I walked into the forest
My mind came to rest
It wasn't in anything I could see
It was from a part of me
