There is a day, they say, that’s marked for love. A time with rhyme, that feelings are expressed. The air is clear, the sun is bright And hearts held dear make footsteps light; When words are shed like layered clothes To leave our hearts undressed. True love goes unbequethed to time. It knows no earthly bound. It lingers deep within the touch Of whispers and of sound. It’s in the fabric of our soul It sparks the breath of life, Within the depth of all it’s meaning I have found a wife. This day, like all my other days, I hold for you alone. My love, my heart, my everything - is you; And in the quiet moments That become our growing years, The days we share, like dollars saved, Remain, alas, too few.
