My Truths

My truths, your truths and lies Mind games, gaslighting, fooling, deceiving, tricking, and misleading The power of words connects, it can be so deceiving So many shades of grey for a little white lie The veil on her green eyes Subtly hides the pain so deep of her husband truths Revealing an anguish from within that was not part of “I do” on the day they took their solemn vows The bottle in the trembling hand in truth Is the mysterious secret mistress - sadly To the diseased mind the truth is at the bottom Making believe is her truth as she smiles and laughs Her truths, his truths, a tie.
