My True Love

I've wrote about most everything except about my true love. This is a topic most poets have not trouble writing of. Trying to verbalize feelings of love how should I properly share. Will you understand my emotions should you even care? First time ever saw her reason to live became clear. She's my hopes, dreams and desires to lose her my only fear. Living to make her happy can have anything she wants. Give her pink skies and blue moons even give her polka-dot elephants. There's nothing wouldn't do for her stay at home, run away or do back flips Buy her diamonds, flowers and gifts take her away on romantic trips. Go to sleep praying she's happy wishing I'd done more. Wake in he morn wanting her she's what I live for. Rolls over, touches my arm get so thrilled I want to scream. Is this woman I love real or my paradise only a dream. When I say 'I love you, Judy' warmth words can't express. Trying just to let her know in my world, she's the best.

Thanks John, 45 years more would be quite a time. My wife has lived with her mom (now 85) for the last 13 years. If we ever move back in together life could be rather challenging. I enjoy my carefree life. I think I'm up to the challenge. Thanks again

Thanks for the wonderful comment. I edited the original poem I wrote in 2004. The contest did not want a new poem so I edited this one. The contests also did not want a poem that's 'rants', I think this one probably does. Oh, yes I have found true love...Judy and I will be married 45 years Feb. 10th. Take care. Wayne
