My True Love

My true love

The bells didn’t ring
No rockets in the sky
Nightingales didn’t sing
No heart shaped butterfly
The harps didn’t play
A wonderful song
But from that first day
I knew…you’re the one

Cupid didn’t show up
No arrows were felt
Volcanoes didn’t blow up
The moon didn’t melt
Rainbows didn’t shine
When the rain it had gone
But I saw you that first time
I knew…you’re the one
