My Trip

MY TRIP
I am enjoying a trip of a lifetime,
Visiting places I’ve longed to see,
I'm traveling many different ways,
By train, airplane and by sea.

I have visited the United States,
The land of the brave and the free,
Have sailed into New York harbour,
And viewed the statue of Liberty.

Beside the blue Danube I’ve walked,
(disappointed it isn't blue, but brown),
Heard Strauss lovely waltz music,
Playing in most every town.

In Holland the tulips were blooming,
The colours so vivid and bright,
If only I were an artist no doubt,
I would paint such a glorious sight.

In Belgium I tasted chocolates,
It was a highlight of that day'
Their chocolates are so amazing,
Bought six boxes to take away.

I'm really enjoying my trip,
Will be sending a postcard home,
Then all my family and friends,
Can see that I've visited Rome.

Now I am off to London town,
To see Big Ben and the Queen.
But it comes to a crashing end,
I wake up,it’s all been a dream!
