My Thoughts On Freebies

Many have used some Government safety net as a way of life,
causing some to cultivate the attitude, better you pay, than me.
For self respect, exhaust all internal means of self support,
before reaching out to another seeking something free.

It isn’t always our lack of, that has caused our dilemma,
but in our choice of priorities that brings us harm.
The easy road shouldn’t be a life, from the sweat of others,
and the helping hand we seek, should be attached to our arm.


Many need help, 
but too many take it because its free and easy,
taking pride in knowing how to work the system.

L Milton Hankins April 12, 2022 at 9:47 AM My question, Tom, is how do we stop this sort of thing? How do we put the kabash on people who are bleeding the system dry and keeping those who really need assistance from getting it? Have you been hearing about the COVID relief frauds? Boggles me mind!
