My Thoughts

MY THOUGHTS
The land I love is in an uproar
Because WE THE PEOPLE don’t count anymore
To much greed and to much disgrace
Even the statue of liberty has covered her face
We are suppose to be about freedom and liberty
But you get what you want with a little bribery
They say are vets ain’t worth the struggle
To help them cope with there time in the desert and jungle
And the people who wear the blue walking their beats
Are getting shot down in the middle of the streets
People have broken the law and put the Bible aside
Forgot about the one who stretched his arms and died
But one of these days when the trumpet shall sound
Some will cry in shame while others are glory bound
