My Tears

I stare out my window
Watching the rain fall from the sky
It makes me calm, soothes the soul
Watching the sky turning from purple to blue
As the sun is rising behind the clouds
I wonder "Are you seeing this too?"

It's so hard not being with you
Not being able to be by your side
It hurts me so
So much I want to cry
But I can't...
My tears are already falling
My tears are the rain falling from the blue sky

I love the sound of rain
It helps me was away the pain
To forget about the past
We knew it couldn't last
But I don't want to say goodbye
I just wish I could rewind time
So we could fix our mistakes
And not go through such heartache

It's so hard not being with you
Not being able to be by your side
It hurts me so
So much I want to cry
But I can't...
My tears are already falling

I know deep down it's for the best
I wonder at times is this a test? 
A test to see if we are meant to be
I wish that were true
So you would come back to me

It's so hard not being with you
I can't stand not being by your side
I don't care what it takes
We will pass this test
I'm tired of my tears falling from the sky
I just want us to be together
Just you and I
