My Sunshine

Lying under the warm tepid sun, Eyes shut, I feel your arms, Wrapped around my waist, Holding me tight. Don’t be scared my love, You tell me you won’t let me go, You stay with me, Through think and thin, I’m finally home. The hand that I hold, The kisses against my torn skin, You call me to ask if I’m alright, You stay up till I fall asleep, Protecting me from my nightmares, Loving all of me. I wake up crying, Screaming through the night, You lean in and hug me, Softly stroking my skin, You tell me I’m safe, You tell me I’m yours, I fall asleep, I’m safe, in home, I’m yours.
