My Storm

I know that it won't last, I wait for the storm to pass. The water is falling all around, Making puddles form on the ground. As lightening strikes, brightening up the sky, I look up and wonder why. I wish that you didn't leave, It's all so hard to believe. Trying to console my mind, Rocking back and forth, remembering a happier time. My eyes are unfocused, but I'm trying, Wiping away the tears from pain filled crying. These feelings of pain I feel, Don't seem to want to heal. Maybe in time they'll go away, But right now they're here to stay.
