My Starry Letted

My Starry Letter If at once, a god's heart bursts With flourishes of color With teeth clenched, lips pursed They immortalized their lovers In the stars If at once, I could reach them And pluck them in slight With quill of a feathered Wren I would write A letter If at once, my ink was bright With the dim light of lovers' lust And the glow of the stars' sight Of the world on the cusp Of dawns and dusks If at once, I'd write my heart Into the paper built with my skin And tattoo in part The lover's vow on the rim Of my eye If at once, this proclamation Ceases to capture your soul And turns your heart away, my explanation Shall be the words off my tongue in rolls Of, "I love thee, Love me"
