My Special Devotions When I was younger part six

LOVE HOPE AND PEACE
FROM CHRIST! MAY IT
ALWAYS BE YOURS TO
SHARE.

The Nicest Presents

The nicest presents don't come
from underneath a Christmas tree.
They come from warm and wonderful
friends like you. Friendships are
gifts of love coming from God. Joy
peace and love are gifts with no
price tag but are free.

Friends aren't gaily wrapped with
ribbons and bows, but they have a
lasting quality. Comfort they bring
in times of sorrow. They rejoice with
us in times of happiness.

The friendship my family and I
have had from you has brought
us through hard times. This
Christmas, we would like to say,
thank you. Have a very Merry
Christmas and a Happy New
Year.

"The Best Moments of Our Lives."

The seasons of our lives all too
quickly pass away. All of our memories
we cherish most today, all too soon
become our yesterdays. Time won't
wait for us, it seems. Is that why we
treasure all of our plans and our dreams.

And is that usually why we want our friends
and our loved ones to understand. We may
not always know the right words to say, it's
trued. It's sometimes difficult to tell them,"
I love you!"

Yes, the very special moments of our lives
we hold dear, are always when our loved ones
are near.

"Giving"

Certain moments in our lives we quickly
learn to treasure very much. We all need
a kindly spoken word to touch our hearts.
A friendly smile and a pleasant "hello"
cab bring a ray of sunshine into our
day.

A warm, firm handshake from our friends is
all we need more than we know. Christ's
love in our hearts can help us to give a
helping hand to others. Those moments
will carry us through dark times.

"We can only truly learn how to live only when
we learn how to give."

"Wishing Well."

I dropped a penny into a
Wishing Well.
I stood there and watched
As it fell.
Would my wish be granted?
Only time alone would
Tell.
I dropped a penny into a
Wishing Well.

*This is one of my earlier poems
that was written down by me
as an younger adult.

*Inspired by the classic movie,
Roman Holiday and the theme
song, "Three coins in a fountain."

Believe In Miracles
(Revised Version)

Oh, believe in, Jesus Christ's
wonderful miracles! His very
special promises, always will
come true.

Just trust our Holy Lord and Savior
and something marvelous will happen
to you.

Oh, follow all your dreams while they're
still young. Always remember to have
faith in Jesus Christ, God's only
beloved Son!

"Day By Day"

Our yesterdays, tomorrows and today's
precious Savior, you take care of always.
You grant us inner peace and guidance
day by day. Teach us to have under-
standing hearts by giving us the
necessary courage and strength to treat
each day as a chance for a whole
brand new start if life.

**There's a popular song,
"Day by Day," when I was
much younger than I am
today.

"The Quiet Peace He Brings To Me."

The quiet peace He brings to me
is as warm and as gentle as can be.
His peace is softer than a warm summer
breeze blowing gently through the trees.

His peace is sweeter than holy communion
wine. It fills my mind with His love divine.
Because the quiet peace He brings to my
soul is far more precious than either silver
or gold.

Our Hiding Place

There's a very special hiding place
where we can stay. Our host, Jesus
Christ, will show us the way. Peace and
assurance awaits us there, we can leave
behind our worries and our cares. In our
special place we're never alone because
our host has made our heart's His Home.

"My Heavenly Father's Home."

Oh, wonderful Heavenly Father
though like a small lost child I
often roam, you always welcome me
back home. With arms opened wide you ask
me to come inside. Dear Father, You're
the one I adore, not once have you
turned me away from Your door. No
more, dear Lord, will I stray because
at your home I'm always welcome
to stay.

"All My Days"

Silver and gold have I none.
Yet all my days will I
Glorify God's Son.

Homage and honor will I pay
"Till my last breath on my
Dying day.

All my days from dawn to
Twilight belong to the one
Who gave me eternal life.
