My Special Devotions part three of When I was younger

The Cycle of Life
Oh at newborn babies' baptisms, there's a very special moment
for the proud parents and sponsors to rejoice and cry.
For they know, in a very few short years, it will be time
to kiss their little ones goodbye.
Oh, there's a very special time for the young children to partake
of their very first holy communion. Their parents are very glad to
partake of the holy sacraments with them.
Oh there's a very special moment, during confirmation, when the
young people reaffirm their vows. They stand before us very tall
and proud. Yes, the future church leaders of tomorrow stand
before us on that day. They will lead with confidence--
they won't be afraid.
Turn around and soon it will be time for their high school graduation
day. Some of their friends will attend college very far away
from home. For the very first time in their lives the
young adults will be facing a bright promising future on their own.
Turn around and some of the young adults will be taking their
wedding vows. The cycle of life begins again now.

Words Spoken In Anger is prose and also poetry
Words Spoken In Anger
Words hastily spoken in a moment of anger can never
be completely recalled. The damage angry words cause
in our interpersonal relationships with others often lingers
long after the "smoke clears." Frequently, our sinful jealous
human pride is responsible. When we don't get our own way,
we sometimes "lash out in anger" at our nearest available
victim(s). Usually, we tend to blame other people for our
"black moods." Seldom, do we take the credit for them
ourselves.
How do we control our angry emotions before they control us?
The solution is simple if we are willing to use our Heavenly Father's
unique blueprint for governing human emotions--the Holy Bible.
For example, when somebody deliberately provokes us how do
we usually respond? If we are like most people, we simply retaliate
with more angry words. If the violence is allowed to accelerate to
it's ugly climatic conclusion it can result in actual murder!
Clearly then controlling our angry emotions is of paramount importance!
King Solomon presents one biblical solution in Proverbs 15:1," A soft answer
turnth away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger." KJV King David uses our
Lord as an example in Psalm 103:8 "The Lord is merciful and gracious , slow
to anger, and plenteous in mercy. KJV.
In Ephesians 4:26,27 and 29-32 Saint Paul admonishes us!
"Be ye angry, and sin not:
let not the sun go down on
your wrath.
Neither give place to the
devil. And grieve not the
Holy Spirit of God, whereby
ye are sealed unto the day
of redemption.
Let all bitterness, and
wrath, and angry and clamour,
and evil speaking, be put
away from you, with all
malice.
And be kind one to another,
even as God for Christ's sake
hath forgiven you. (Quotations
from the King James Bible)
(cap used for the Holy Spirit)
According to the above mentioned
Bible verse, we are not to "grieve the
Holy Spirit" by our unbridled anger. Like our
Heavenly Father, we are to be "slow to anger"
and merciful to to other people. We are to love
and forgive others because He has forgiven us.

Than you Lord Jesus Christ
For being the sunshine in my life,
For turning winter into spring;
For turning darkness into light.
For bringing laughter and joy
into my soul,
For the little morning song birds
that sweetly sing;
For the little Girls, and Boys.
For being the peaceful pardon of
my sins,
For being more valuable then either
silver or gold;
For giving me your gift of everlasting
Joy!
For being more precious than diamond
rings;
For the price of American freedom
and liberty!
For inner strength hidden deep
within my heart;
For being the real love of my life;
For OLD GLORY!
But most of all, Thank you Lord Jesus
Christ, for being the Lord and Savior
of my life!

Sea of Tranquility
Blessed Sea of Tranquility
Blessed Sea of Tranquility; calming
waters of healing recovery. Waves of
inner peaceful harmony amidst
my troubled soul and body--
causing me to be set free--
from my disability. I close
my eyes and dream away the
problems of another hectic day.
The blessed songs of music
only I can hear in my inner
ear. In the blessed Sea of Tranquility,
no harm can ever befall me.

Poetry
Poetry is church bells chiming
their joyful melodies,
Poetry is choirs
singing in perfect harmonies.
Poetry is beautiful
music to my ears.
Poetry brings laughter
and causes tears.
Poetry is young children kneeling
in bed times prayers.
Poetry is watchful parents
who truly care.
Poetry is beautiful flowers
blooming in the month of May.
Poetry is birds chirping
happily on a warm summer's day.
Poetry is the happy laughter
of children at play.
Poetry is watching sailboats
gliding by on Port Gardner's Bay.
