My Soup World

My soup world is all the world is all
The world I care to go
When the sun shutters fall
And strange winds blow
My soup friends are all the folks
My heart cares to know
When loneliness stokes
The fireplace of memory. No
Place is better, a better people to share
A prayer breaking the hegemony of fear.
I love the deep drink
Of friendship here, pulling us from the brink
Of times despair.
I love my soup world, love you all so dear.

I share your feelings David. Writing poetry has opened up a different part of myself. I miss people when they haven't shared for awhile. It's a strange thing but only a souper would understand it.

thanks for your kind comments on my poem no crime, my son has been bullied in school so I took a stand and said he wont return untill they make sure the other youths are seperated from him in all lessons and breaks and our big meeting is next week but I Hold on to God right now, it would be all to easy to go running in like a steam roller thats nott he right way slow and steady we will finish the race, I Trust God will have his way in the meeting and what comes out will be just the way he planed
