My Soul Like a Tidal Wave

My soul like a tidal wave is churning All through the night Some unspoken thing in me is yearning All through the night O come wrap your fair arms around me Give my slumber peace Tell me your love is for me only And let my torment cease. My mind like a ship westward wandering All through the night Berth me at the window of your slumbering All through the night O wake and see my lips so tremble For the glass cold pane I too would fly but fear dreams may tumble To meaningless again.

"For the glass cold pane" Super, multi-sense line, makes the whole poem. Love, daver

This is the type of comfort and love we all need, David. "I, too, would fly but fear dreams may tumble" describes the main reason many people live inside shells after having their hearts broken. Bravo for you for setting sail on the "tidal wave" again! Love, Carolyn
