My Soul

It is not here for itself
Though all along it is collecting wealth
It is not here to be the story
But to reflect all of His Glory

Keeping me humble
And helping me when I stumble
It is my greatest gift
And all the others you can lift

It is a friend in who I can confide
And to me it has never lied
Carrying me all the way
Smiling on me as I pray

For my soul knows so much more than the mind
Often they fight I seem to find
One is loud and demands his way
The other quite only asking that I pray
