MY SON SHINING DOWN

“My Son Shining Down”
(by Michelle Lynn LeBlanc 11/04/2022)
Dedicated to my son: Jayden Donald LeBlanc
RIP: 09/04/2022

Today marks two months since you passed
I've been trying to find joy again
But it's hard to make it last

I keep trying to find ways to plug through
But nature is bittersweet now
Because it reminds me so much of you

But I won't let that stop me
I'm getting out there, letting its beauty seep in
While it may grieve my soul, it brings peace within

I will remember your love and passion for its beauty
How you loved to climb the tallest of trees
And from your perch watch the sun turn the sky to ruby

When you got your motorbike, you took it to Indian Mountain
From there you loved to watch the sunsets
And let its rays give you groundin'

You loved to go for walks at night, when everyone else went to bed
For there in the stillness you found peace of mind
As beautiful stars loomed overhead

You loved the ocean waves crashing on the shore
And when there was a thunderstorm
You and your brothers would be right at the door

You simply loved nature in all its purest forms
For within its embrace you found peace
Yes, the key to navigate life's storms

So, when I see the sun shining through the trees
I will envision you My Son Shining Down on me
With your smiles and laughter, your youth and vibrancy

The impact you left on our lives will always and forever remain
May we always find reasons in this life to press forward
As your memories give us courage to find our dreams again!
