My Son, My Light

Lost, looking
Can't find my way!
Life has blinded me.
Love made me deaf
Motherhood wore on me
Money's always short
Life's alway hard
But, Son you're my light
You sing to me when I can't hear
You're so small, but you know so much,
How to make me smile
How to make me feel
You see who I am,
And you don't care about the bad
Daddy's still around, but we're not together
I know this hurts you
Someday you'll understand
I can't sheild you from it
No one can, and I won't try
Ask me I'll explain
