My Son Is a Marine

YEAH MY SON IS A MARINE
AND YOU KNOW THATS TRUE
HES READY TO LAY DOWN HIS LIFE AND DIE FOR YOU
WHEN HE LEFT HE SAID "MOMMA PLEASE DONT CRY
I GOTTA BE A MAN SO LET ME TRY
I'LL MAKE YOU PROUD AND YOU WILL SEE
CAUSE I'L BE PART OF THE UNITED STATES MARINES
I'LL BE A STRONG SOLDIER AND YOU WILL SEE
I'LL KEEP FIGHTING SO THIS LAND WILL ALWAYS BE FREE
I'LL DO MY DUTY AND ALWAYS BE TRUE
AND MOMMA REMEMBER THAT I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU
YES I AM VERY PROUD OF MY SON
AND NOW YOU WILL SEE THAT MY POEM IS DONE

Hello Rhonda, as I was reading this poem, I was thinking of my only son who is in the US Air Force. The words your son told you are almost the words my son told me before he joined the Air Force. God bless our sons. Ernilando

You have a right to be proud of your courageous son, Rhonda! I love his positive attitude and the way he comforts you.
