My Snores Are Violent

Read to the tune ("The Sounds of Silence") by Simon & Garfunkel Hello nighttime my old friend, the sun is setting once again Because the darkness is slowly creeping I start to snore and the wife is steaming I counted ten thousand sheep maybe more The dream in my brain Still remains My snores are violent I wish I could sleep alone, no TV or cell phone The wife won't turn off that burning light My eyes feel like they've been stabbed No chance of sleeping now The dream in my brain Still remains My snores are violent The wife is talking and speaking, I hear her but I'm not listening Fool, your snoring makes my anger grow, Hear my words that I might slap you, take my arms that I might choke you No chance of sleeping now The dream in my brain Still remains My snores are violent The wife shouted words of warning, from the mouth she was foaming Her shout bounced off the walls, and down the hall She bowed her head and prayed Whispered the sounds of silence The dreams in my brain Still remains My snores are violent Change the record poetry contest Sponsored by: Natasha L. Love it ( but of course ladies never snore ) I'd buy her some ear plugs, you could get some too so you wouldn't have to listen to her complaints lol. Tom.
