My Sister's Folly...

My sister sent me an e-mail today,
And told me she’s getting married;
I wasn’t really sure what to say,
It left me a little harried;

You see my sister is only seventeen,
She’s known the guy less than a year;
It’s not that I’m trying to be mean,
But to me it’s not too clear;

It takes a lot to make a marriage work,
Not to mention a place to stay;
Has she gone completely berserk,
This is all way to cliché;

Both of them are still in school,
And neither of them have a job;
It’s not really my place to be cruel,
But my temple’s are starting to throb;

I’m not really sure what to do here,
Should I just sit back and observe?
Would telling the parents be too severe?
Or is it no more than she deserves?

Wow...that's a tough one, Tirzah! As Michael said....go with your heart.....it depends on the role you have always had in her life...if she depends on your for advice and support or if she would resent you....a hard call indeed. Good luck! ~ Carrie

To be or not to be is a question, Tirzah. You have to take decision soon and forget it
