My Sister Shirley

My sister Shirley passed from this life early yesterday morning. I wrote this for all those left behind to find joy, for her, in where she has gone.

Sister Shirley

Yesterday, my sister Shirley
Left this life in early morn
Raised to meet her Lord in Heaven
By the angels she was borne

She believed in Jesus Christ
That, on the cross, he died
Her faith was undisputed
I know she's on the other side

Walking on the streets of gold
With our mother and our dad
Two brothers and a sister
And two children that she had

Her husband Donnie waiting there
He passed not long ago
Those and others waiting for her
To have believed, made this all so.

She never had too much in life
Suffered much as she went through
She's enjoying Heaven's riches
That's what believer's do.

Friends and family mourned for her
When she passed oh two oh eight
If we believe, as she did then,
Should not mourn, but celebrate.
