My Sister My Hero
If you are in a bind
You are always on her mind.
If you heart is breaking
No matter what you are facing.
I call my favorite hero, my mentor,
She has endurance like no other.
Her smile and laughter,
Help divert a disaster.
She takes care of others needs before her own,
Whether in person or on the phone.
If my family is having an emergency,
She puts on her cape with urgency.
From her granddaughter's first steps
To her Mother’s last breath.
Like an angel she is there,
Taking much more than most could bare.
I love you Sunshine,
I am here for you until the end of time.
