My Sister, My Friend

God made a special person
The day He made You
He reached right down from heaven
And put His smile on your face

When he made this special person
He put kindness in her heart
Because she shows her love
Even though we're miles apart

When he made this special person
He put her in my family
Not only to be my sister
But to be a friend to me

I love to see a family that is not ashamed to say I love you. God Bless, Ron

When I was growing up, my big sister was my idol, Geraldine. She told me stories, gave me French lessons, took my skating, shared poetry and took me to Broadway plays. Reading your wonderful poem reminds me how much I miss her because we are now "miles apart." Thank you for posting this inspirational verse, Geraldine. Love, Carolyn
