My Sister and I

My Sister and I

My sister and I, had so much fun
Can you please, parden my pun?
She had an emergency at home
She left in a real hurry and did roam
Those long and endless roads of this long endless road
Told her not to drive in needless hurry in haste and load
Someone at home needed her mostly
She knows these roads better than I
Maybe I will take the time and won’t deny
Told me she had to call Edgar the mortician
Edgar and us all went to school way back with vocation
He had always been interested with the deathly ill
It made us sisters so blissfully sick to our gills.
I always thought sis would end up marrying him
Eve would never let anyone influence her vanities whim
She’s like a flowery, flowing gypsy rose
She knows her words so very well I suppose
She’s my biggest inspiring beauty so well composed.

what a wonderful poem Theresa and I see you and your sister share a poetic skill - wow I never knew she was your sister - what a bond you share across the miles each writing poetry. I discovered my maternal grandma wrote and my aunt and uncle both write too - looks like it is a family trait - just took many years to surface in me though lol! hugs jan xxx

I'll tell ya Jan, Eve is one very special sister to have, she would give you the clothes of her back if she could. She also could never turn any animals away especially dogs. Mom always called me the sister who has to learn the hard way and she was so very right. Mom gave all of us sibling with one of the names Mary or Marie. This has passed on for many generations. Even in the time of Louis Riel days. Hugs Theresa

It is so sweet:) I have a brother and I love my brother very much too. He is 11 years younger than me. I wish you all the best, you and your sister! I think that in every family there should be understanding and love as God planned:)

I so totally agree with you; although at one time I would not have agreed. Guess you could say I was the wild one, I smoke and enjoy the odd drink but not my sis; she has the strongest mind and heart out of all the people I have ever known. God Bless Yana... many hugs from afar. Theresa

Yes, I really do I could never imagine a world without her. She's my biggest role model and I really look up to her. She does not like alcohol doesn't smoke, if I could stop smoking maybe I'd even look as good as she does. We're only seven minutes apart in age. Thank you very much Yana for your beautiful comment on my penned poem. She knew the path of her destiny before I decided to find mine in life.
