My Silent Song For You

To My Wife, Wanda:
 The road was lonely.

Your existence gently speaks to me
though miles apart, tonight, are we.
Your subtle presence, which I feel,
speaks of love, both true and real.
The lonely silence of this night
with morning sunrise will unite.
And, with the light tomorrow brings,
you'll hear the song that my heart sings --
A song of love two lovers share --
A song of faith when you're not there.
A ballad born inside my heart
this lonely night when we're apart
will tell you what you ought to know --
When we're apart, I miss you so!
