My Selective Amnesia
I choose to forget that I have lied.
I choose to forget that I have died.
I choose to forget that I have lived.
I choose to forget that I have gived.
I choose to forget that I have shoved.
I choose to forget that I am loved.
I choose to forget that I am not alone.
I choose to forget that this is our home.
I choose to forget the beauty of a rose.
I choose to forget the truth I suppose.
I choose to not forgive myself.
I choose spiritual poverty instead of wealth. I choose to forget God's loving grace.
I choose in shame to hide my face.
I choose to blame others for what I do.
I choose to blame you, and you, and you.
I have chosen to forget to climb god's hill.
But he has remembered to love me still.
