My Secret Letters

I found some letters
     never sent,
I wrote from me to you.
Tucked away
     inside a box,
  I'd written quite a few.

I picked one out
     and read about,
  A paragraph or two.
When I recalled
     not some, but all,
  The feelings felt for you.

Though bittersweet
     I read each one,
  Until I'd read them all.
I smiled awhile
     then tucked them in,
  A box behind my wall.
