My Second Family Is the Soup, What a Very Special Group

My feelings I have always tried
To bury down deep inside
Keeping them way out of sight
Until the day my heart felt right
And expressed them with emotion
Each day bringing new devotion
To a great love that I found
Lifting me up off the ground
Setting me free as my words
Could finally be felt and heard
By new ears and hearts that tell
How much pain that had befell
My life to the inner core
But I'm not sad anymore

A miracle that never ends
Shines on my bad days and sends
Me on the newest heights of wonder
And lifts me up when I'm under
The deepest pile of worried woes
But that is how new love grows
Helping others who might need
A friend who will take the lead

Each new chapter that I say
Makes the hurt just go away
Word by word I'm getting better
ABC and every letter
Of my life is being shared
I never knew such loving care
Could come from this special place
The kindness on your soul and grace
Leaves me wanting more and more
You changed my life and now the door
To a brighter future exists
I never knew how much I've missed
Until I found you giving me
All the advice, now I see
The special people I've discovered
Measure higher than all others
In my new sweet friendship group
That I started on the group

A miracle that never ends
Shines on my bad days and sends
Me on the newest heights of wonder
And lifts me up when I'm under
The deepest pile of worried woes
But that is how new love grows
Helping others who might need
A friend who will take the lead

well, I see that you did sharpen it up from the other poem, Robin! I think it is a tighter rhyme now!!

wow, Robin, this is one sweet heartfelt write. Is it for the contest of DAve Wood's. If you add a refrain into it. Maybe make it a bit shorter and use a chorus, it would be able to be one of those songs he is looking for!!
