My Sanctuary
MY SANCTUARY
My garden of dream is a Nature Reserve
That is my beautiful sanctuary to observe.
Whenever feel free, I wish to loiter at leisure,
One of my earnest greatest sweetest pleasure.
Favorite flowers of my childhood to grow.
In garden, I reminisce ancestral aroma to flow.
My non mowed lawn full of feral wild weeds.
Rabbits cheer up me, paying visit to eat seeds.
Cuckoos very often lay eggs on Crow’s nest.
Hanging on walls of garden slow snails take rest.
Pigeons make home on slant porch of the house.
Caress of mother bird is worth, curiosity to arouse.
Sparrows chirp chasing dusts and pollen, I rejoice
Often, they make nests under cornice on choice.
Squirrels so swift to crawl and climb on treetop.
Touching tiny grassy blooms grasshoppers hop.
Every year big hive is built by swarm of bees, a colony
After few months all fly away consuming whole honey.
Kaleidoscope of butterflies fluttering wings
In mild breeze wispy straggly spider web swings
So many charms happening within small boundary.
I am saturated with holy happiness in my sanctuary.
