My Room
My Room,
My spacious camp
A world beyond the world
A sanctuary of peace
Silence in the pillows
Fun within the games
Music from the piano
All I ever need
My Room,
My safe harbor in which to work
The cabin where I sleep
The island where I read
My Room,
Usually it’s clean
Then once every while I cannot see the floor
Through the pile of old stuff its hard to get to the door
An endless pool of junk
My Room,
A cage that protects me
From a storm of rage
A precious box to store my fears
On a scary day
My Room,
My walls that shield me from the weather
Through the seasons rain or shine
My room still stands with me inside
My Room
Sanctuary of peace
Harbor of work
Cabin to sleep
Island to read
A clean place
Then a pool of junk
A cage to hide from a storm of anger
A precious box of fears
A shield from the weather
All I ever need
