My Rock, My Twin Lynne

My rock, my Twin Lynne

Laura and Lynne
Not two, but one, twin
From the start, in the womb
Sharing time, past the tomb
The yang to her yen

The right to my wrong
Harmonious in song
The light to my dark
Igniting my spark
When I waiver, she's strong

Always a room sharing
Every moment caring
About each other's feelings
Soothing and healings
One shy and one daring

As babies until three
One clinging mom, one free
One little, one tall
One wild, one doll
One grounded, one esprit

Protectors of each other's
Even and especially of
        brothers
One sought love of their
       father
The other knew not to bother
We have the love of mother's

She watching, learning mom's
        charm
Nor would she ever do harm
Sadly I got what dad taght
All ok unless your caught
Wily affections and smarm

Not clear of wrong and right
Playing dirty? When to fight?
She is my compass, my rock
Turn to her, in need of talk
Together still, yet each our
      knight.

They too can calm our storm
Knowing when to conform
They'll be no furry,  like twins
       scorned
Take heed when a twin has
       warned
Unison must transform

Now with soul mates of our own
And both now, children grown
Hope the cycle comes to
      pass
They receiving grandma's
      class
For all wrongs may they
      atone

Our years, go waning away
But together must we stay
As life waxes for our kin
So our children's children
Visit both grandmas to play

As our time on earth ends
We part still best friends
To care for from above
Ner able to cease our love
A bond time transends
