My Road Home.

I think back on the time that has passed.
I think back on where I've been and what's happened.
The roads that I have travelled.
The fights that I have battled.
Everything I've ever been through.
The good, the bad, and everything in between.
The smiles that I have faked.
All the mistakes.
The pain that I've felt.
The heartbreaks.
It's all given me the strength to endure and overcome.
All the lies that I've been told.
The false hope.
The times when I was left out in the cold.
When no one believed in me.
The rain continued to pour and you were all too blind to see the tears that fell down my
cheek.
I've been so weak.
But I will no longer let my past transgressions tear me at my seams.
I'll persevere through everything.
But when I reach out my hand for yours will you take it and show me that from now until
forever that I'll never be alone.
Will you show me a new home?
Will you show me that in your arms is where I belong?
I've travelled this road for so long.
You've opened my eyes.
You have made me understand that there is meaning behind the trials.
Everything I have endured has made the man that I have become.
Thank you for showing me compassion and understanding.
