MY Restless Heart

My heart gets restless if I don't take it for a walk,
Sometimes I let it out to sit on my sleeve,
To enjoy the fresh air and sunshine,
Not caring if others talk,
Or, if I am seen as a bit of a dork,
As it is fresh air and sunshine,
That keeps the concepts of Romance and hope alive.

Sometimes it pops up in my head,
For a talk with my conscience,
Acting in its stead when it is not in residence,
Or at other times giving my feet a pep talk
Enough to make a walk, more than just talk.

I love this poem david , but I'd describe your heart as golden or pure instead of restless. Glad to see you getting the recognition you deserve for your writing being featured in the top 100 poems . Well done from the land of tartan ??????????????????
