My Remorse

Destined to swim in guilt,
Intended to destroy what have been built,
Tortured by words of regret,
Wishing for something and only one thing…
And it’s to forget,

Impelled to do what has been forbidden,
Controlled I am
By my sinful thoughts,
I always close my eyes to picture myself hidden,

Words are more than just words,
And I wish they were never to be spoken,
 Because when words are heard,
They are considered to be broken,

Regretful nights I'd spend awake,
For my sorrow keeps me crying,
I'd look at my life every single day,
And see it as one sinful mistake,

I wish days were like channels,
To change what you abhor in life
By a press of a button, by a blink of an eye..
But destiny is one stable channel,
That you can never identify,

Hold me tight,
And let my sins die with your love
So I can be free from all the torture,
So I can no longer dream at night,

Fo(r)giv(e) (m)e f(o)(r) what I have (s)inn(e)d,
And let your forgiveness suffocate me
Every time I inhale,
So I can exhale my sins…
