My Religion Is Right

You fight
my religion is right
like little children
trying to prove

you know best
Muslims believe
in the God of Abraham
Christians believe in the same God

The Jewish people
Believe believe in the same God
and yet you believe
that he lies to the other religions

do you believe that Gods so frail
he couldn't be talking to each of you
perhaps he is a god of love
and it's you that gets it wrong

Man is the one that picks up the sword
it is man that picks up the gun
it is man that create's the wars
read your bible

when Christ's disciple
went to protect him with the sword
Christ said "get behind me Satan"
violence belongs in the realm of the devil

not in the heart of a Christian
not in the heart of a Muslim
not in the heart of a man
each of you sees only a part of the world

become the better man
teach people to love
teach people to hope
teach people to care

working together we should
fight against poverty
fight against suffering
invest to create a future

each of you see the world
through eyes devoted to your religion
perhaps God is greater than that
reaching out to man

through all religions
perhaps all of you
see only a part of the jigsaw puzzle
perhaps we should all listen to each other
