My Reflection

No trace of endless life
Perceptions rolling with my dice
No sanity to spare
In disillusion and despair

No place to call a home
No real friends to call my own
No reason to believe
With a family that deceived

Just riddles and a room
Just hidden mirrors that presume
I’m golden in delight
But my reflections lead to night

No truth to what I am
Only fiction and dark plans
No real face to see
That darkness is my eternity

A hold on higher ground
A dream of forging honest sounds
The hate I throw away
Is getting closer every day

Just silence and regret
There’s nothing left but to forget
I’m golden and sublime
And my reflection calls all the time
